Villas Dominos Pizza “Raises Dough” For Fishing Creek School
Restoration
Area Residents Asked to Eat Pizza for a Good Cause
The
historic Fishing Creek School found another business benefactor to help “Raise the Dough” for the restoration
of the historic one room schoolhouse as a public community space for Lower Township –- The Villas Dominos Pizza.
Located next to the Fishing Creek School on Bayshore Avenue, the Villas Dominos Pizza joins with Gaiss’ Market, Anco
Home Center, Sturdy Savings Bank, and Morey’s Piers to help the Friends of Fishing Creek School, Inc. raise $12,000
for the exterior restoration and painting.
“With the help of many individuals and businesses
like Villas Dominos Pizza, the Fishing Creek School will open this year for educational programs, exhibits and concerts, all
for the benefit of our community,” notes Norris Clark, Chairman of the Friends of Fishing Creek School. “Thanks
to Lower Township, the old schoolhouse has a new roof, and thanks to many individuals and businesses such as Morey’s
Piers, Sturdy Savings Bank, Gaiss’ Market and Anco Home Center, we have raised over $4,400 in cash or in-kind contributions
towards the $12,000 needed to restore the foundation, doors, windows and paint the exterior. Now, Villas Dominos Pizza is
generously getting behind this effort in a big way.”
“Our Villas Dominos Pizza hopes to ‘raise
lots of dough’ for a good cause,” said Adelia Jonas, who owns the local Dominos with her husband Robert.
“We joined the Board of the Fishing Creek School to help the old building give new life for our community. We are declaring
March 6, 7 and 8, from 11am until midnight each day, as the first of several Villas Dominos fundraising efforts for the school,
and we are pledging 20% of the net orders, before sales tax, that are made in the name of the Fishing Creek School during
these three days.”
Given this offer of help, the Friends of the Fishing Creak School are asking area
residents to order pizza at the Villas Dominos by phone at 609-886-1211 or in-person between 11am and midnight on March 6,
7 or 8 with the words “Fishing Creek School” to help our community project. “Any order at the Villas
Dominos will help the school if you say our name during the three days, except for orders of the 555, $5.99 special, or the
Buy One Get One Free coupons,” noted Clark.
As a reminder of the “Raise the Dough” program,
there will also be Fishing Creek School fundraiser notices on www.fishingcreekschool.org, as well as Dominos Pizza boxes, in local papers, and coupon flyers in area businesses.
