Here's the latest news from the Press of Atlantic City regarding the restoration of the Fishibng Creek School as a community center and host for supporting Lower Township Elementary Educational Foundation programs. Encouraged by Lower Township Mayor Michael Beck, and Deputy Mayor Norris Clark, the Friends of the Fishing Creek School was established as a non-profit membership organization dedicated to restoring the historic schoolhouse and developing it as a community center for the benefit of Lower Township and the surrounding community. As the only remaining one room schoolhouse in Lower Township, NJ, the Fishing Creek School is on the National and State Historic Registers. Our mission is the "restoration and preservation of the historic Fishing Creek School, in keeping with our heritage, for various educational, recreational, and cultural programs, all for the benefit of Lower Township and the surrounding community."   Please join with us, as we make this landmark a regional treasure and local community center.
